looking for something unique in terms of your printing? we offer digital, letterpress, thermography, and engraving. not sure what the different is? the following hopefully will help:
solid ink is our digital printing. we do all of our digital four-color process printing in house, so we can turn around jobs quickly and with our stringent quality control every step of the process. it leaves a flat finish on the paper. it works really well on metallic paper, but can be used for any type of paper. our printer does not use cartridges therefore there is no landfill waste. the ink/wax “melts” unto the page, which is great for those coated surfaces.
letterpress is an old style of printing in which ink is spread onto raised type or images and then pressed into paper. the text or graphic is pressed onto the paper leaving an lovely tactile as well as visual appeal. Or, do a "blind" press without ink on the plate, which creates a subtle look. We offer several varieties of paper best suited for this printing technique.
engraving is just the opposite of letterpress. one of the oldest most elegant forms of printing. how is it done? a metal die with an impression cut into the surface is filled with an opaque ink them pressed against paper, creating a raised areas of the paper coated with ink.
thermography is a cost-effective method to achieve a raised printing. text and/or images are placed “wet” onto the paper and then a powder is placed on top. once it dries, it has a raised effect similar to engraving, but at half the cost.
