indian paper
this paper is made from cotton recycled from the garment industry in india. this paper is acid-free and lignin-free and the color comes from vegetable dyes. some of these papers are embroidered or embossed giving them a unique tactile experience.

nepalese paper
this paper is 100% tree-free. it is made from a plant called ‘Lokta’ which grows abundantly in the Himalayan mountains. the color is made from vegetable dyes.

japanese paper

this paper is mostly made from the pulp of a mulberry tree. the paper was originally developed centuries ago and printed using intricate woodblock prints. today, each sheet is silk-screened by hand often using two or three screens depending on the design.

italian paper
these papers are the only ones machine made but the patterns are beautiful. the paper comes from italian mills that are centuries old. many of the patterns are well-known. truly lovely papers!
